According this below chart from The Economist, the bulk of history is being created almost…now i.e. in the 20th and 21st centuries. Obviously, for the sake of this graph, we are talking about the last 2,000 years of history.
This is based on the assumption that people make history in their continuous activities and economic production, and on the fact that there are 7 times more people on earth than in the 19th century!
Luckily our documentation for history has massively improved (now with technology) to be able to pick it up in the due course. I hope I am doing my bit on Lebanon Spring Blog.
I am just curious to know how The Economist drafted the graph for the 1st century…
